Tampa death metallers Six Feet Under are to partake in a headlining tour, the HateFest tour, adjacent with Swedish blackened metal hordes Marduk, Polish death sourdoughs Vader and obscure Hate. Special guests on all weekend dates will be Germanic blackened death metal act Eisregen and countrymates, death bloodthirsty Debauchery. The HateFest tour is programmed to begin in Europe this April.

[blockquote cite=”Chris Barnes”]We are very proud to announce our first tour dates of 2015 headlining the HateFest tour in Europe this April! It’s going to be fucking brutal!! It’s a great package with some real heavy hitters! And don’t forget to come check us out on our upcoming shows next month in Germany on our annual Xmas In Hell tour of Germany it’s going to get bloody![/blockquote]

Besides the imminent tour, this legendary metal quartet are set to release their eleventh studio record during Spring Solstice via Metal Blade Records. The new album is entitled ‘Crypt Of The Devil’ and will be including ten tracks of audio destruction solely composed by legendary vocalist, Chris Barnes, in partnership with Cannabis Corpse vocalist and bass player, Phil Hall. While on tour with Cannabis Corpse as sustaining act during 2013, Chris Barnes and Phil Hall strengthened their friendship bounds and stayed in touch afterwards, resulting in a unique appearance from Chris Barnes on a track released by Cannabis Corpse, titled ‘From Wisdom To Baked’. On that very same year, both musicians joined forces and layered down the new tracks for Six Feet Under. Chris Barnes praised Phil Hall participation on the new material stating that “where my wheelhouse is – it’s where I thrive vocally and lyrically.

The ‘Crypt Of The Devil’ follows Chris Barnes’ storytelling continuance put in previous studio records, in which he pens down his lyrical side from the point of view of a serial killer. Or as Chris Barnes describes it; “It’s a winding journey through his mind. The songs paint a picture that’s not necessarily linear, rather a meandering back and forth through a dark soul.

Even thus macabre by essence, Six Feet Under have a unique perspective on the topics, serial killings, as trademarked their musical approach in a classical fashion.

The recording of the new studio album took place at Phil Hall’s studio located in Virginia. Phil Hall tracked rhythm and bass guitar while his brother, Josh Hall, followed drums instead. Guitar player Brandon Ellis tracked the grand majority of the album’s leads.

On the other hand, Six Feet Under’s mentor, Chris Barnes, made at London Bridge Studio (home of Pearl Jam, and Alice In Chains) his new base of criminal operations in Seattle, Washington to register his vocal senility, and it is indeed true that he entered the same recording booth on which Layne Thomas Staley (musician who served as the lead singer and co-songwriter of the rock band Alice In Chains) tracked his vocals.

The mixing process was completed by Rob Caldwell (Cannabis Corpse, Iron Reagan Reagan and others) in Sarasota, Florida. The studio record was then mastered by Alan Douches (Cannibal Corpse, Revocation, Torche and Skeletonwitch, for instance) at West West Side in New Windsor, New York.

The album itself, ‘Crypt Of The Devil’ ensures a yielding collaboration that took position across country resulting in a fresh new studio record that will reflect the classic vein of their exemplary releases, impressed once again by gravelly motives, serial killing and maniacal derangement.
