As reported on April 4th this year, American battalions Machine Head got themselves tangled in a legal dispute against former bass player, Adam Duce, which lodged a lawsuit against the well oiled machine claiming that they owe him some unpaid royalties.
The story tells that Machine Head have responded to the lawsuit brought against them by former bass player Adam Duce. He who filed an action in January, claiming he was owned at least $1.8 Million American Dollars and that frontman Robb Flynn had damaged his reputation beyond repair when he told in a blog that: “We may have fired Adam, but Adam quit well over a decade ago – he just never bothered to tell anyone.”
After six months deeply involved in legal countermeasures, Machine Head finally reveals that the band has gained into a mutual and satisfactory agreement with the old bass player, Adam Duce, however due to legal happenstances, they cannot provide us with a more of a detailed information involving these issues.
[blockquote cite=”Machine Head”]A $1.8 million dollar litigation suit filed against heavy metal recording artist Machine Head, manager Joseph Huston, record label Nuclear Blast, and current-bassist Jared MacEachern by former-Machine Head bassist Adam Duce was settled yesterday in San Francisco, CA. The terms of the deal will remain confidential but both sides were able to reach a satisfactory agreement.
All claims in the dispute have been dropped against all parties named including but not limited to the $800,000 dollar suit against the band for breach of fiduciary duty and interference with prospective economic advantage, as well as the bizarre $1,000,000 dollar defamation suit against singer/guitarist Robb Flynn regarding a blog the guitarist posted.
It was mediated by Gail Migdal Title, with the litigation team for Machine Head handled by Kari Keidser, Dawn Coulson and Randall Rich of Epps & Coulson, along with long-time Machine Head entertainment lawyer Scott Harrington.[/blockquote]
With another chapter left behind their back, Machine Head is presently wrapping up to start working on a forthcoming new album besides hitting the road in the United States on July 8th alongside with Anti Mortem on the Killers & Kings tour.
