Decapitated is a death metal band from Poland. They formed in 1996 in Krosno in southern Poland, when all the members were still attending music school.

Decapitated built a solid reputation over the years as one of the international leaders of their genre. Over their nearly 20-year career, they have released seven studio albums, considered some of the most influential death metal releases of the 21st century.
