Deicide – ‘Scars of Crucifix’ CD
$43.92
Deicide’s seventh studio album, ‘Scars of the Crucifix,’ was released on February 23, 2004, and is the band’s first album on the band’s new label Earache Records. ‘Scars of the Crucifix’ is a return to the “classic” Deicide style, offering nine intense and aggressive tracks of death metal.
The album features the track’ Scars of the Crucifix,’ which spawned Deicide’s first-ever music video, filmed in Nottingham. The closing track, ‘The Pentecostal,’ is followed by a hidden untitled bonus track with drummer/composer Steve Asheim playing a classical piano solo.
The song ‘Fuck Your God’ was used heavily as a torture method for detainees in Iraq by being piped into their bunks to induce sleep deprivation.
‘Scars of the Crucifix’ is a powerful album that has stood the test of time, and is an essential listen for any fan of extreme metal.
