Hate – ‘Auric Gates of Veles’ Vinyl

Hate is a blackened death metal band from Poland that since 1991, has lived up to their name, responsible for some of the angriest and most ruthless death metal unleashed upon the world.

Hate are often compared to their fellow mates Behemoth due to the common similarities. The fact is Hate were the first to explore their darker side, while during that time Behemoth were still known as a black metal band.

With 2017’s ‘Tremendum,’ they took a step toward a darker, more atmospheric, black metal-oriented style and began exploring Slavonic mysticism, and the album ‘Auric Gates of Veles’ boldly continues in that direction as the album continues to unmask the black metal influences to a higher extend.

While the drums grow louder by each moment, shifting to excessive brutality, the gradual accumulation is one of the strengths in which the band is known for. ‘Auric Gates of Veles’ is Hate’s most black metal sounding album to date, the band seems to infuse into the technique of black metal.
