Omnium Gatherum is back stronger than ever in their 7th studio release ‘Grey Heavens.’ This album is just like any Omnium Gatherum album. This complete musical odyssey will take you straight to the fiery cliffs of hell and the pearly gates of heaven itself.

One moment it relentlessly pounds your ears and charges forwards in a blind rage. The next, you are floating on a cloud as angels sing heavenly melodies. There is despair and doom here. Yet, at the same time, there is extreme hope and determination.

This album is fantastic at creating tension and then giving the listener release in beautifully constructed melodies and anthems. The subtle use of synths in the background provides an epic and spiritual feel to the entire experience. The instrumentals in Omnium Gatherum albums are always next level. The drum work, melody lines, guitar solos, all of it just works, and nothing is over the top like in some overly ambitious metal albums.

Jukka’s vocals are kind of an acquired taste, we must say, but it really works once it grows on you. The clean vocals are unique in this album.
