Katatonia – ‘Dethroned & Uncrowned’ CD

‘Dethroned & Uncrowned’ follows the artistic exploration of the progressive and atmospheric elements that defined Katatonia’s ‘Dead End Kings.’

The combination of Katatonia’s dark, depressive rock with electronic ambience began with the addition of Frank Default as a regular contributor (though not a full-time band member) on ‘Night is the New Day,’ and ‘Dead End Kings’ saw these elements incorporated more organically into their sound.

The news that these elements would be isolated and the heavier elements stripped out was greeted with much interest, and the results are fantastic.
