Artists from around the world are invited to participate in the inaugural edition of AExpo 2025-2026, a year-long, multi-venue exhibition series organized by Atmostfear Entertainment and based in Colombia. Conceived as a curatorial platform for symbolic and speculative visual practices, the program centers on works rooted in Gothic, Dark Art, Fantasy, Horror, Ritualism, the Uncanny, and Diasporic Identity. Painting, drawing, photography, sculpture, digital art, and mixed media are among the accepted formats, with an emphasis on conceptual clarity, symbolic resonance, and thematic depth.
This open call operates on a rolling basis and is open to both emerging and established artists internationally. Submissions will be reviewed for inclusion in upcoming exhibitions throughout the current cycle and considered for future editions. Rather than seeking genre representation, AExpo offers a sustained curatorial space where darkness, ambiguity, and cultural dissonance function as critical methods. Artists whose practices reflect this approach are encouraged to apply.
Open Call to Artists: Exhibition Series
Eligibility and Accepted Media
This open call welcomes submissions from artists of all nationalities, backgrounds, and career stages. Both emerging and established artists are encouraged to apply. There are no submission fees.
Artists may apply individually or as part of a collective, provided the works submitted fall within the scope of AExpo’s accepted media. These include painting, drawing, photography, sculpture, digital art, and mixed media. While hybrid formats are welcome, submissions must demonstrate curatorial compatibility and be suitable for physical exhibition in gallery or museum settings.
All works submitted must engage meaningfully with AExpo’s thematic and conceptual direction, which centers on Gothic, Dark Art, Fantasy, Horror, Ritualism, the Uncanny, and Diasporic Identity. Submissions must be original, exhibition-ready, and reflect a clear artistic voice. Works that rely solely on aesthetic novelty without a substantive conceptual framework are unlikely to be selected.
Because AExpo is a curated platform, submission does not guarantee inclusion. All entries will be reviewed by the internal curatorial team, and selected works may be presented in exhibitions during the current cycle or considered for future editions.

Submission Materials & Guidelines
All submissions must be made through the official application form available on the AExpo website. Artists are required to submit high-resolution images of each proposed work, along with accurate details including title, medium, dimensions, and year of production. All submitted works must fall within AExpo’s accepted media categories and demonstrate a clear alignment with the platform’s curatorial direction.
Multiple works may be submitted within a single application, provided each entry is fully documented. Descriptions should clearly outline the conceptual grounding and thematic relevance of each work, particularly in relation to AExpo’s focus on dark, symbolic, and speculative aesthetics.
Only original works will be considered. By submitting, artists affirm that they hold the rights to all materials provided. AExpo does not accept content or derivative works that violate copyright or misrepresent authorship. Selected artists may be asked to provide additional documentation to ensure their work can be installed safely and appropriately for public exhibition.
Submissions are reviewed on a rolling basis by the internal curatorial team. Artists will be contacted directly if their work is selected for inclusion in an upcoming exhibition or retained for future consideration. While submissions are accepted year-round, priority review may be given to proposals received during the first half of the calendar year. Selected artists will be notified individually as curatorial timelines are confirmed.
By submitting, artists consent to the review and potential use of their materials for curatorial consideration, non-commercial documentation, and promotional use related to AExpo programming. No works will be published or exhibited without prior notification and agreement.
Selection Process & Opportunities
All submissions will be reviewed by AExpo’s internal curatorial team. Works will be evaluated based on conceptual rigor, thematic relevance, and visual coherence. Particular attention will be given to proposals that demonstrate a sustained engagement with the platform’s curatorial direction—especially those that reflect symbolic density, cultural nuance, and a critical relationship to Gothic, speculative, or emotionally complex visual languages.
As AExpo is a curated program, submission does not guarantee selection. Chosen works may be included in one or more of the exhibitions scheduled throughout the year, or retained for consideration in future editions. Given AExpo’s multi-venue structure, selected artists may be featured in varied contexts depending on curatorial fit, spatial requirements, and timing.
In addition to exhibition opportunities, selected works will be listed in AExpo’s online shop and made available for purchase. Participating artists will also benefit from coordinated press and editorial support, including digital coverage, promotional materials, and visibility across AExpo’s publishing and social platforms.
Conclusion
AExpo marks the beginning of an ongoing curatorial platform committed to supporting artists whose work engages symbolically, conceptually, and critically with the margins of contemporary visual culture. This open call invites contributions that reflect not only technical strength but intellectual clarity and emotional complexity. By submitting, artists become part of a larger conversation—one that repositions darkness not as spectacle, but as a rigorous lens through which to explore transformation, dissonance, and cultural depth.
