Atmostfear Entertainment S.A.S. (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is dedicated to the preservation, promotion, and critique of human creativity. We believe that the “Gothic” tradition—and the broader arts—relies on the unique, subjective experience of the human condition.
While we acknowledge the utility of technology as a tool, we draw a firm ethical and operational line between Assisted Creation (where the human is the author) and Generative Synthesis (where the machine is the creator).
This policy establishes our standards regarding the submission, promotion, and coverage of content created using Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI).
1. Our Core Principle: Human Authorship
In alignment with Colombian Copyright Law (Law 23 of 1982) and international standards of artistic integrity, we define “art” and “journalism” as products of human intellect and effort. Consequently, we do not promote, review, or distribute works where the primary creative element is generated by Artificial Intelligence when detected, since some work may pass due to the inability to verify the use of AI, or by human error.
2. Prohibited Content and Materials
We exercise our right to freedom of contract and editorial discretion to decline any submission or promotional request for the following:
2.1. Visual Arts & Design
We will not feature, review, or promote releases (physical or digital) that employ Generative AI for:
- Cover Art: Album covers, book jackets, or movie posters generated by prompts (e.g., Midjourney, DALL-E).
- Internal Illustrations: Booklets, liner notes, magazines, or interior book illustrations.
- Promotional Assets: Flyers, banners, or social media assets for events.
2.2. Audio & Music
We decline to promote musical works where:
- Composition: The melody, harmony, or arrangement was generated by an AI model (e.g., Suno, Udio) without significant human intervention.
- Vocals: The vocal performance is synthetic, “deepfaked,” or mimics the voice of a human artist without their explicit, written consent.
2.3. Video & Cinematography
We do not accept music videos, short films, or trailers where the visual footage is primarily synthesized by AI generation tools (e.g., Sora, Runway), rather than filmed or animated by human hands.
2.4. Text & Literature
We do not publish or review press releases, essays, fiction, or non-fiction books generated by Large Language Models (LLMs) such as ChatGPT or Claude.
3. Permitted Uses (The “Tool” Exception)
We distinguish between Generative AI (which replaces the creator) and Assistive AI (which supports the creator). The following uses are generally permitted, provided they do not infringe on the rights of others:
- Technical Processing: Use of AI for mastering, noise reduction (e.g., iZotope), stem separation, or color grading.
- Editing Assistance: Use of spell-checkers or grammar tools (e.g., Grammarly) for press releases, provided the core ideas and phrasing remain human.
- Visual Effects (VFX): Use of AI-driven rotoscoping or upscaling tools, provided the underlying footage is human-captured.
4. Submission Warranties
By submitting music, books, films, or event listings to Atmostfear Entertainment, you explicitly warrant that:
- The work is a product of human authorship.
- If any AI tools were used in the process, they were used solely as technical assistance and not for the generation of the core creative expression.
- You hold full copyright to the material. (Note: Under current legal frameworks, purely AI-generated content cannot be copyrighted; therefore, you cannot license it to us).
5. Right of Refusal and Removal
Atmostfear Entertainment reserves the right to reject any submission that, in our sole discretion, violates this policy. If we discover post-publication that a work we promoted was created using undisclosed Generative AI, we reserve the right to:
- Immediately remove the review, article, or listing from our platforms.
- Issue a public retraction or “Editor’s Note” clarifying the nature of the work.
- Ban the submitting entity from future coverage.
6. Reporting Violations
If you believe content featured on our site violates this Human Authorship policy, please contact our editorial team at editorial@atmostfear-entertainment.com. We investigate all claims with rigor to protect the integrity of the artists we feature.
