Lacuna Coil has announced their Ignite the Fire North American Tour for 2024, featuring support from New Years Day and Oceans of Slumber. The event began on May 2nd in Wilmington, Delaware, and will wrap up on May 17th at the Sonic Temple Festival in Columbus, Ohio. It will be followed by a performance at the Milwaukee Metal Fest on May 19th. This tour allows fans to experience Lacuna Coil’s energetic and visually engaging live performances, known for their dramatic lighting and theatrical elements.
In addition to their tour, Lacuna Coil released a new single titled ‘In The Mean Time,’ featuring Ash Costello from New Years Day. The single addresses themes of resilience and the human spirit’s struggle amidst external pressures. Cristina Scabbia mentioned that working with Costello brought a fresh dynamic to the song.
Lacuna Coil was established in Milan by vocalist Andrea Ferro, bassist/composer Marco Coti Zelati, and guitarist Claudio Leo. Initially named Sleep of Right, the band soon changed its name to Ethereal, only to discover another band already held the name. Thus, Lacuna Coil (translated as “empty spiral” from Italian) was born.
